Senior Principal Software Engineer
The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Role and responsibilities:
Provide a vision/strategy and lead the Engineering teams as the Product Owner of VxRail
Collaborate with product managers to understand business requirements and define the roadmap
Assess value, and prioritize new features / capabilities, stability enhancements and efficiency improvements to ensure product backlog reflects maximum return-on-investment
Lead engineering team for prototyping new feature requirements; guide the team through the research to find the right solution; review and approve the final solution before it can be committed to a new release.
Work in close liaison with Dell Product and Application Security Office and drive Secure Development Lifecycle requirements for VxRail.
Support critical customer engagement and answer customer’s questions/concerns about security.
Work with Product Manager, Dell Federal team and various vendors for security certifications.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Agility to adapt to technologies and processes quickly
• 10+ years of extensive experience in software development
• 5+ years of working experience in security domain
• Experience in design, development and operating in large scale environments
• Experience working in collaborative coding environments (peer review, source control, continuous integration, etc.)
• Experience working in distributed teams in multiple time zones
• Great communication and collaboration skills, an innate sense of curiosity, and an obsession with delivering products that bring end-users joy
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
• Experience with STIG, security certifications, vulnerability response is most desirable
