The opportunity is for a Software Escalations Engineer to work on a team providing expert level enterprise product support (level/tier 3+) as part of the RecoverPoint Engineering Group, supporting customers world-wide. This individual must be customer oriented with excellent communication and customer interfacing skills, be a team player and self-motivated within this niche technical role and engineering team.

The Software RecoverPoint Engineering Team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Required Skills:

-Operating Systems: Linux and Windows (Linux most preferred)

-Networking: TCP/IP, UDP Protocols, infrastructure

-VMware environments (ESX, VC, VSphere, etc.)

Experience in support, troubleshooting, virtual environments

Desired Skills:

-SAN storage arrays (EMC, IBM, HP, Hitachi, etc.)

-SAN infrastructure: switches, Fiber Channel, SCSI and ISCSI protocols

-Familiarity with applications and databases (SQL, Exchange, Oracle)

-Scripting – Bash/Perl/Python

-Skilled or proficient in VMware networking

Education and Level:

Bachelor's degree, Associates degree, Technical Certifications or 3+ years of relevant experience
