Join our Exascale System Architecture Pathfinding team as a Senior Hardware Engineer designing scalable computer systems using Intel Processors and Network Components for High-Performance Computing HPC applications and be in the forefront of system hardware innovation!

The candidate will work with a team of architects and design engineers to innovate, customize and enhance processor and fabric designs to increase their versatility, focusing on performance, power, and cost requirements.

Qualifications

This position involves work on a U.S. Government contract which may impose certain security requirements: If you are a U.S. citizen, the government may require that you certify that you are a U.S. citizen. If you are not a U.S. citizen, the government may require you to pass a security check before you can be approved to work on the project. ​

Minimum Required Qualifications:

PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • Strong understanding of microprocessor architecture concepts, and software/hardware interactions.

  • RTL Coding in VHDL or Verilog for SoC/ASIC/FPGA designs.

  • Experience with VLSI design, physical design flows, process technology details.

  • High level language programming C, C++, OpenCL

  • Experience with script languages Python, Perl, Ruby.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Neuromorphic computing.

  • Ability to read and understand schematic designs.

  • Experience in SoC/ASIC/FPGA RTL design and validation.

  • Design of SoCs or high complexity IP blocks.

  • Understanding of FPGA design flow synthesis, place & route algorithms.
