Job Summary:

The Chief of Staff reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer and is a high-visibility strategic and operational position that leads the coordination and strategic alignment of diverse Business activities ? both internal and externally facing. This position leverages the successful candidate's broad visibility into the organization to identify challenges, develop solutions, be an integral part of executing critical workflows, and managing the CEOs bandwidth and activities.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

? Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives as determined by the President and Chief Executive Officer.

? Contribute to the development and implementation of various internal GLCAC initiatives such as those relating to internal communications, policies, decision making systems, etc.

? Assessing all inquiries directed to the executive and determines priority and the proper course of action.

? Collaborate with the communications team to develop and implement external facing activities and communications for the CEO/President such as presentations, social media postings, etc.

? Provide "sounding board" active listening and the application of knowledge and expertise to problem solves a broad range of areas that impact progress.

? Provide decision support through data gathering, information analyzing, and presenting considerations to the President.

? Operate at a tactical, strategic, and operational level, handling the oversight of large scale projects.

? Develop and assemble organizational annual goals, measure progress, and provide updates to stakeholders.

? Develop presentations and communications for the President.

? Monitor for and identify priorities that require senior leadership focus.

? Track high priority initiatives for the President to identify any/potential obstacles.

? Connect teams that are working on similar initiatives.

? Additional responsibilities as periodically assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

? Bachelor?s degree required/Master's degree preferred.

? Five to Seven years of experience working in a similar capacity in a Non-profit Agency.

? Strong understanding of a large, multi-faceted Social Service agency environment combined with a natural ability to network and influence internal and external stakeholders.

? Strong knowledge of business, finance, and analytics.

? Demonstrated drive for results through a history of achievements and strategy.

? Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and operate across teams.

? Strong orientation to team culture.

? Self-awareness and outstanding communication and presentation skills.

? Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Travel: Occasional required to other GLCAC locations

Physical Demands: This job regularly requires the employee to sit, walk and stand as well as use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines.
