Lawrence General Hospital IT Systems Engineer in Lawrence, Massachusetts
Architects and implements network, desktop, server systems and related hardware and software. Helps to lead the I.S. technical team in the design and specification of the hospital computing infrastructure, as well as implementing best practice usage and support models for these systems.
Bachelor's degree or 5-10 years of practical, hands on experience required. Advanced industry certification (MCSE, CNE, CCIP, etc) preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required. Significant experience in network operations in a healthcare setting, or other 24x7, mission critical multi-vendor environments is preferred. Should have significant experience with Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint both in implementation and administration and advanced understanding in the areas of networking and standard security practices (Content filtering, VPN's, and IPS/IDS). Experience with managing, upgrading and administering Citrix Netscalers preferred. Must be proficient with Symantec Backup Exec, Microsoft SCCM, SQL administration, Active Directory and Group policy and able to manage a Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2012R2 Environment (IIS 7.5, DNS, DHCP, print services, etc.)
