Lawrence General Hospital Manager of Population Health Analytics in Lawrence, Massachusetts
This role works directly with the Department of Population Health to set the overall direction of population health analytics and present key findings to senior leaders to support the design, development, and implementation of programs that improve performance of health outcomes. The Manager of Population Health Analytics will oversee and participate in the development of analytical tools and data reports that will monitor ACO progress against health outcomes measures and medical cost trends. The position will build proactive relationships with key business areas to identify analytical needs and provide recommendations to improve disease management programs, case management programs, and utilization review. This role will serve as an analytics representative on various steering committees and guide the organization on the appropriate solutions based on best practice analytics and represent the Hospital at external meetings.
Master’s degree in business and/or healthcare required; experience working in managed care or ACO strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with databases, data warehousing, database administration
Programming skills preferred (e.g., SQL, C#, Java)
Proficient software skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Advanced level of Microsoft Excel – including pivot tables, linked spreadsheets, lookup formulas, and graphing.
Familiarity with relational databases, including SQL Server. SQL
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Cognos)
Knowledge of Quality Improvement analytics, including the production and interpretation of run charts and control charts
Healthcare experience. Understanding of ICD-9/10, CPT and DRG coding and/or other clinical nomenclature.
