Analog/Mixed Signal Layout Designer (0002535)
Background: Groups 86, 87 and 89 develop and demonstrates custom, RF & mixed-signal integrated circuits and associated test boards for verifying operation and characterizing performance. An Analog/Mixed-Signal Layout Designer is needed for the implementation of next generation analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Assignment: The successful candidate will have experience in deep-submicron CMOS layout in the 14-90 nm design nodes in technologies from foundries such as TSMC and Global Foundries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the physical layout and verification of integrated circuit building blocks within the Cadence and Mentor integrated circuit design flow to include layout, DRC, LVS and parasitic extraction through the use of Calibre and Assura/PVS.
In addition to the implementation of integrated circuit building blocks, experience with full-chip assembly and top-level verification is required.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Candidate will have a BS or Trade School plus 10 years minimum experience.
- Candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in best-practices for managing local process variation, parasitic interactions and other design performance considerations through layout techniques.
- Candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills along with strong written/verbal skills are required to support a multi-person design team in an effective way.
Candidate must be a US citizen.
Occasional travel may be required.
MUST BE U.S. CITIZEN –All personnel must successfully pass a Commercial Background Investigation (CBI) before receiving facility access and obtain a DoD Interim clearance.
