The Advanced Concepts & Technologies Group develops technology to protect land and sea assets from air and missile threats, which operate in a rapidly evolving complex Electronic Warfare (EW) environment. The group's research and development activities span a wide spectrum including concept development, advanced algorithms development, prototyping, experimental field-testing, and analysis of systems and data. Due to the wide-ranging nature of research, this dynamic group is comprised of a diverse team of scientists and engineers with expertise in physics, mathematics, computer science, and various engineering backgrounds. The group values inclusiveness, fosters mentoring at all levels, and promotes critical and innovative thinking to address the needs of the warfighter.
The Advanced Concepts and Technologies Group is looking for an entry level candidate who can provide support across a variety of projects including research in signal processing and algorithm development for a broad set of sensors, radars, and countermeasures programs. The candidate will work with a diverse team to develop new signal processing techniques for both existing hardware and new prototype systems. The candidate will aid in the development of new algorithms to push the envelope in data exploitation from these systems. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to combine the latest software design practices with state-of-the art hardware development. In this role, the candidate will also leverage their engineering background to solve complex problems across the areas of signal processing, embedded systems, automation, and machine learning.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or similar
Have completed a subset of the following coursework: Probability and statistics, signals and systems, digital signal processing, control systems, state estimation, digital electronics
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C+
- Strong oral and written communication skills
