Solidus Technical Solutions, Inc. Communications Systems Engineer in Lexington, Massachusetts
Solidus is searching for a Communications Systems Engineer to work on a team to design, develop, and execute operational scripts and unit tests for use in wireless communications systems such as communication satellite payloads and associated ground terminals. Responsibilities: * Identify key requirements, create test plans, and apply a strong programming and scripting skill set to implement system and unit-level tests. * Troubleshooting system issues by applying a working knowledge of system architecture, including software, firmware, and RF components, to identify root cause for system failures. * Lead the hands-on diagnosis of issues which arise during the integration and testing process, and work closely with software, firmware and hardware teams to identify and remedy issues. * Support staff in testing and maintaining test assets used in the development of satellite communications systems. Required skills: * U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Security Clearance. Active Secret preferred. * B.S. Degree in related field * Strong background in and experience with Python, and familiarity with C/C++ * Experience with Linux operating system * Skilled in both system test planning and test execution * Able to apply programming skills to efficiently implement test procedures and troubleshoot system operation * Understanding of digital signal processing, digital communications, hardware design, software engineering, and computer architecture * Demonstration of strong communication skills, both oral and written * Willing to work in a team environment 3 years of experience with: * Digital and Wireless Radio/Communications Technology * C/C++, Java, Python, Bash, SQL, Java Script / HTML / CSS, and Matlab * Testing and Evaluation Preferred skills (3 years of experience): * Modeling and Simulation * Resilient Communications, Command, and Control Algorithms * Network Architecture * MATLAB * VHDL / Verilog * Communication Systems Req ID: 4068 Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
