Global DD&T Talent Transformation Product Owner

About the role:

The Culture and Talent Transformation team within Takeda is looking for Global DD&T Talent Transformation Product Owner. As a member of the Culture and Talent leadership team, you will lead the development of our practices around career progression, career succession and mentorship across Global Data, Digital and Technology. Join Takeda as a Global DD&T Talent Transformation Product Owner where you will Partner with organizational team members, including the GDD&T leadership team, HR business partners, DE&I and other business leaders to identify data, digital and technology talent needs and design appropriate programs and solutions. As part of the Culture and leadership team, you will report to the Head of GDT & Talent transformation -IT strategy and operations.

How you will contribute:

  • Build, implement, and grow GDD&T's use of of the Takeda Talent Marketplace to support talent strategies across the organization.

  • Partner with Human Resources to drive the roadmap that develops the core organizational capabilities that enable digital transformation, including support for employees, rotational opportunities, and formal mentoring programs.

  • Collaborate with HR business partners and GDD&T's Learning, Culture and OCM product owners to deliver career management activities, including individual development planning and evolution of DD&T career ladders.

  • Work in partnership with HR, other GDD&T teams, and external organizations to increase diversity in hiring and to support career growth for technical talent from groups not traditionally represented in STEM.

  • Partner with Human Resources and other DD&T teams to support the creation and growth of an exceptional people experience from the moment an employee is hired through their last day at Takeda.

  • Harness and maintain the appropriate data to track progress against GDD&T talent management goals and objectives and use that data to make informed, strategic decisions that lead to program, people, and organizational success.

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Office 365 including SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams, Microsoft Office, and Azure Active Directory.

  • Deep knowledge of, and experience with, networking technologies and infrastructure.

  • Create strategic plans for technology based on an understanding of the business and its technology needs.

  • Pursuing excellence in Service Management

  • Deep experience leading projects related to integration and divestiture initiatives

Leadership

  • Influence leaders at all levels in an effort to drive the Collaboration, Messaging, and Productivity roadmap.

  • Align with Business and IT stakeholders to continually refine and mature the Collaboration, Messaging, and Productivity roadmap.

  • Influence leaders at all levels in an effort to drive the Digital Workplace Strategy.

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Collaboration, Messaging, and Productivity team. Foster a culture built on trust, which develops, retains, and attracts talent.

  • Lead campaigns to improve user awareness and knowledge of Collaboration, Messaging, and Productivity Platforms and best practices.

  • Maintain critical strategic relationships with providers to ensure alignment with the future direction of Collaboration, Messaging, and Productivity technologies.

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Assist team subject-matter experts to architect and deliver solutions based on roadmap execution or business requirements.

  • As necessary, manage development teams in the design and development of solutions targeting Collaboration, Messaging, and Productivity platforms.

  • Define the Collaboration, Messaging, and Productivity roadmap in conjunction with the Head of Digital Workplace and platform SMEs.

  • Autonomy to decide how/where existing resources are allocated to deliver on commitments. Work with leadership to advocate for additional resources (headcount, contractors, budget, time) as required.

  • Expert in directing multiple projects simultaneously and the resilience to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment. Decision authority to allocate existing resources (people, budget, time) as needed.

Interaction

  • Partner with Business and IT stakeholders at all levels to refine the roadmap and to develop innovative solutions.

  • Work closely with the Head of Digital Workplace Delivery to advance the Digital Workplace Strategy

  • Collaborate with globally matrixed organization to ensure integration across functional areas

Innovation

  • Willing to take risks while championing new ideas in the interest of improving the end user experience.

  • Ability to develop and articulate a technology vision to inspire others to endorse and support the implementation of the proposed solution or technology.

  • Cutting edge knowledge of the technologies in scope for the role.

  • Knowledge of modern development and IT security practices.

Complexity (Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations)

  • All areas and aspects within the Collaboration, Messaging, and Productivity tools and technologies required to deliver required services.

  • Willing to take risks while championing new ideas in the interest of improving the end user experience.

  • Works closely with Technology Operations organization to support the licensing and monitoring of Microsoft Teams Room technology.

  • Globally distributed team delivering services to all Takeda users

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience supporting people initiatives in data, digital and technology, with successes in navigating the dynamics of a decentralized, global organization.

  • Product and process management skills with a demonstrated track record of delivering and the ability to effectively and people at all levels in the organization

  • Experience designing, building, and scaling programs within a dynamic environment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively build trusted relationships and influence people at all levels in the organization

  • Experience designing, building, and scaling programs within a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.

  • Possess a strategic mindset along with a self-starter mentality to both conceive and execute on the ideas that will support the growth and development of data, digital and technology employees.

  • Experience leading, developing, and mentoring team members and colleagues both inside and outside of your talent space.

  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you have the empowerment to drive significant change across the organization.
