PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Determines, analyzes, validates and leads the definition of critical business processes within the framework of an overall business intelligence reporting architecture. Drives the design and implementation of various automated solutions within BI reporting in a framework consistent with other development efforts. Collaborates with senior staff, analysts and clinicians, and other stakeholders to analyze and document business requirements and priorities, and to validate solutions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Lead and direct the development team including integration and performance tests.
Lead delivery of the solution through quality assurance, user acceptance tests and production deployment.
Contribute to the process design for new reporting system creating functional specifications and supporting documentation, detailing impacts of process flows and operations performed by staff on enterprise reports. Provide input and recommendations regarding the appropriate use, manipulation and interpretation of data to ensure the accuracy and validity of enterprise reports and reporting applications
Acts as a subject matter expert for enterprise reporting, utilizing in-depth understanding of all aspects of the reporting systems and business information needs. Works with the appropriate staff to improve existing systems and to anticipate future direction changes providing scope for future sub-projects.
Provide leadership and guidance to other analysts in the creation and validation of requirements and design documents, to include use and test cases, business requirements and training aides.
May escalate difficult/complex issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.

Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.

Business travel is required in this position, but is not expected to exceed two or three overnight trips per month.
Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS :
8 – 12 years’ related experience; or a Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills are required.
Strong organizational, project management and process analysis skills are essential.
Experience and knowledge of healthcare delivery and dialysis clinic operations are a plus.
Must be able to lead virtual project teams across broad-based projects.
Experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse methodologies, data warehouse design and software development lifecycle.
Expertise in BI tools. Technical certifications in one or more tools strongly preferred.
Experience with interacting directly with the business stakeholders and users to present project status, address architectural topics and participate in resolution of project risks and issues.
Attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize/self-managing.
Ability to identify alternative approaches/solutions to risks and issues.
Knowledge of reporting, data analysis and forecasting algorithms.
Exposure to environments with continuous integration, automated testing and agile software development a plus.
