About the Department
The Lexington Site is home to a growing Development organization, part of Novo Nordisk following its acquisition of Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in December 2021. The Lexington Development team is responsible for leading the clinical advancement of Dicerna’s research pipeline of GalXC™ and GalXC-Plus™ RNAi investigational therapies and select candidates from the broader Novo Nordisk portfolio, targeting both rare and prevalent diseases. The Lexington Development team’s rich heritage of collaboration, calculated risk-taking and agility complemented by the scale and resources of the global Development organization, define a unique clinical development team that maintains its agility to efficiently advance clinical candidates through development. The Position
The Program Manager – Program Development is an experienced professional with demonstrated ability to manage drug development programs ranging from early to late stages. The individual will be responsible for managing development programs and enable successful completion of program milestones and corporate goals. This role is highly cross-functional and may involve close interaction with external partners.
Relationships
Reports to Director, Program Development.
Essential Functions
Work with the Program Development Directory to apply program management best practices in the development, initiation, tracking, planning, and execution of programs
Lead development and subteam meetings
Identify and assess program risks to present and discuss with Program Development leadership
Effectively utilize virtual communication software with members and vendors across multiple time zones to maintain timelines and reach program milestones
Preparation of program presentation materials (eg. PowerPoint slides) and communicate program updates
Work closely with cross functional teams to facilitate information flow and communication between all stakeholders and to ensure execution of program strategy
Perform administrative tasks including creation and maintenance of program plan documents, meeting scheduling and facilitation, and program tracking
Record and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action items for program development and subteam meetings; this includes follow-up on action items
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required. Ability to lift 0-10 lbs.
Qualifications
BS degree in a science discipline. A MS/MPH/MBA preferred
5+ years of hands-on related experience managing drug development programs
Experience coordinator and/or preparing regulatory filings such as INDs, CTAs, NDAs, and briefing documents strongly preferred
Expertise with Microsoft Office. Experience with collaborative interfaces such as SmartSheet and think-cell a plus
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action
Excellent organizational and communication skills – both oral and written. Ability to communicate development plans cross-functionally
Ability to lead cross-functional drug development
Ability to use collaborative technology to lead virtual meetings and work with team members around the world
Must be able to effectively organize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
PMP certification a plus, but is not required
Some travel (domestic and international) will be required depending on program needs
