Job Description
Join Takeda as a Senior Manager, GI Rare and New Product Launch Data Strategy out of our Lexington, MA office location. As the GI Rare and New Product Launch Data Strategy Senior Manager you will manage and support GI Rare data systems such as the data lake to enable end-user reporting and decision support needs of the business unit and associated user groups. You will develop cross-functional relationships across the business and work with stakeholders to assess business needs for data in support of analytics and reporting. You will lead the user-facing communication and ensure that any issues that affect the timeliness or quality of the data are effectively addressed and communicated. In this role, you will stay current on trends and new developments in data analytics, create a roadmap for new data sources pioneer exploration of new capabilities, and launch related projects.
How you will contribute:
You will provide leadership to create and enhance data solutions, supporting seamless integration and flow of data across the data ecosystem, while enabling the Analytics & Insights team and other customers to intelligently consume data, resulting in business value.
You will be responsible for analysis, integration, and ingestion of data to data systems. Collaborate with internal stakeholder groups on data needs and then manage data vendors and system operation teams to ensure data is integrated and ingested to support requirements.
You will leverage a deep understanding of pharmaceutical data and marketing tactic data to establish standards of acceptable data.
You will ensure quality standards are established for each data source and applied as a part of the Data Quality Control process. Implement data quality processes to proactively detect issues with provided data, ingestion process or timing of data.
You will lead the stewardship of business data and triage any issues. Delegate relevant items to appropriate stewards inside the organization or at vendors and track progress to ensure remediation.
You will provide oversight and management of data systems to support the GI Rare Team. This includes the management of any vendors or internal technical teams responsible for the actual operation of systems.
You will produce and maintain user and business documentation including data dictionary, data inventory, data model, and ingestion rules.
You will lead projects that enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of the Data Management and reporting team in business analytics and data-driven insights.
You will take a lead role in working with other departments (e.g., DD&T, IT, Commercial Operations, Data Governance, etc.) to ensure data quality, and compliance and improve the quality of analytics.
You will build internal stakeholder relationships cross-brand partners and analytic team leaders to stay abreast of current work being completed for the brand and the marketing strategies and tactics to identify information needs that may have new or enhanced data implications.
You will maintain awareness of evolving data processing techniques, software, and data sources to bring innovative approaches into the organization that drive higher-quality results.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in a field such as statistics, operations research, engineering, computer science, economics, math, psychology, etc.
Master’s degree preferred in a related field or an MBA.
5+ years of progressive experience in business analytics and data management, including data architecture, governance, data modeling, ETL or Commercial Sales Operations/Analytics experience with demonstrated ability to manage, analyze, interpret, and explain systems and approaches for customer data and product data to enable business decisions required.
Experience with Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS S3, Redshift) is preferred.
Proficient with SQL/python and Excel required.
Experience acting as a liaison with IT on data projects required.
Must have strong knowledge of relevant internal and external data sources within the pharmaceutical data ecosystem. Experience with digital marketing tactics is preferred.
Healthcare business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is required.
Must possess experience managing multiple, complex projects involving cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality business processes, solutions, and methodologies preferred.
Experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data like IQVIA and Symphony i.e. Sales Data (DDD, Xponent, NSP, NPA, Prescriber Source), Affiliation (Onekey), APLD (Medical Claims), and Specialty pharmacy data required.
