About the role:

Join Takeda as the Senior Manager, Talent Assessments in Lexington, MA; this position reports into the Head of Senior Leader Development & Assessment and is part of the Global HR Talent Management Team. As the Senior Manager, Talent Assessments, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of our global leadership assessment strategy for our senior-most leaders to facilitate their success and growth at Takeda.

How you will contribute:

  • You will be a key part of the team responsible for designing and implementing global leadership assessment system that will be used for both leader selection and development at the senior-most levels, providing leaders and the organization with valuable information on leadership strengths, areas for development and future potential.

  • Beyond the Senior Leader assessment work, the incumbent would also be responsible for evaluating and optimizing our current enterprise assessments, including a refresh of our 360 instrument, platform and operating model to identify additions, enhancements and future directions for our global assessment portfolio.

  • Conduct research and competitive analysis while also networking with peers in other organizations to identify and leverage best in class assessment practices.

  • Develop analytics and insights that help us to ensure effectiveness and return on investment of programs/initiatives in our assessment portfolio.

  • The incumbent will have primary responsibility for managing assessment vendor relationships and logistics for our Senior Leader portfolio.

  • Develop reporting and insights linked to assessments to support effective Talent Management practices across the enterprise.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assessments for BU/Fs interested in exploring new assessments or evaluating the effectiveness of current assessment programs to ensure we are leveraging valid, reliable and legally defensible assessments.

  • The incumbent would support our Performance Management and Succession processes, when possible, through assessment design and implementation while also leading the establishment of success measures and analytics for the broader Talent Development team.

  • This role would also partner closely with other areas in Global Talent Management (e.g., Talent Acquisition) to establish future directions for global talent assessments beyond our Senior Leader population.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative or assessment-related field of work (e.g., I/O Psychology or related disciplines) or 6+ years of relevant experience in designing and implementing talent assessment programs in large organizations required.

  • Demonstrated expertise in talent assessments with the ability to evaluate the validity and defensibility of proposed assessments while also establishing the ROI for the organization.

  • Experience in designing effective talent assessment programs that meet the needs of critical stakeholders.

  • Ability to utilize and effectively communicate data analytics to our leaders that provide meaningful insights and conclusions to facilitate high quality talent decisions while also shaping and delivering effective global assessment and development strategies.

  • A proven track record of successfully partnering and building effective relationships with leaders and business units/functions across the enterprise to gain support and help drive key initiatives.

  • Project/program management experience

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate, influence and collaborate with employees and leaders across all levels of the organization.

  • Assessment related certifications and coaching experience a plus.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
