MIT Lincoln Laboratory Sr Comm & Change Management Specialist in Lexington, Massachusetts
Will lead the development of comprehensive communications strategy and delivery in support of HR projects, programs and service delivery via various platforms (web, print, electronic, social, etc.). Will be responsible for change management and communications activities associated with HR strategic initiatives. This position will collaborate with HR managers and subject matter experts as well as Laboratory leadership and community stakeholders in support of successful program and communications delivery supporting HR and Laboratory strategic directions.
Will assess impact of organizational, program, and process changes. Will identify risks and create change management strategies that maximize employee adoption and proactively address anticipated/actual concerns and challenges. Will work to strengthen community awareness of available employment services and programs, and will introduce effective communication conduits to collect and respond to stakeholder and community feedback. Will collaborate with various stakeholders in ongoing evaluation and enhancement to the Laboratory’s recruiting presence, branding, and materials.
Primary activities include but are not limited to communications strategy, branding and design, content development and delivery, facilitation of focus groups, gathering and synthesizing input/feedback using various data collection techniques, socializing programs among stakeholders and leadership, supporting roll-out activities, etc. Other responsibilities include content management of internal and external HR web pages supported by functional subject matter experts; will prepare presentations, communications and materials on behalf of HR Department leadership as necessary; collaborate and serve as internal advisor to all functional areas within HR.
Bachelor’s degree plus 5-8 years of related experience in business, marketing, communications, change management and/or organizational development is required. MS or MBA preferred.
Demonstrated excellent written, visual, and oral communication and presentation skills as well as experience communicating to all audiences within an organization is required.
Must be able to convey information effectively and in the most accessible and understandable way, including content delivery that leverages various visual/graphic design techniques.
Specific experience developing organizational, employee and/or internal communications is preferred.
Must have extensive experience with digital communications and a knowledge of current social media practices.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools is required.
Must possess ability to build relationships and influence others toward a common goal.
Must have experience facilitating meetings and groups, gathering and synthesizing input from various stakeholders.
Must have strong project management, project execution skills and proven ability to manage competing priorities.
