Job Description

The Summer Research Program Intern will design, implement, and test software in support of the Laboratory’s role in fielding analytical tools for space situational awareness. The specific task is to develop a dashboard interface to our evolving processing pipeline for commercially-generated space situational awareness data. The candidate will work with staff to implement a flexible, composable UI within a rapid protyping architecture. Experience with engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics are necessary. The candidate must be comfortable using modern programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Javascript). He/She must also be comfortable with significant iterations of their work to ensure the final product(s) meet the needs of SSA partner organizations.


  • Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields.

  • Experience with modern programming in a Linux environment.
