Architect, Kronos Incorporated, Lowell, MADuties:Will play a lead role in the design and implementation of complex, performant, SaaS-based enterprise applications. Will work on multiple projects and be the primary conduit between the product and development teams. Leveraging understanding of Kronos domain and product line will relay functional & technical use cases, and provide design & architectural vision to the team. Will help develop code, be responsible for investigating new technologies and provide guidance & mentorship. Will play a key role in cloud-based application development and architecture across multiple teams and disciplines.


Requirements:Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 10 years of experience as a Software Developer in a SaaS and SOA environment. Must also have 5 years of experience (which can be gained concurrently with the primary requirement above) working with the following:• Java, J2EE, REST, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Maven and Gradle;• JBoss and Tomcat application servers;• One of the following Relational Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or Postgres;• Redis and MongoDB No-SQL databases;• Designing and deploying applications on either Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud• Systems & software applications best practices specifically in connection with architectural and design patterns.• Systems & software applications performance, throughput & capacity and system monitoring & analysis tools.• Agile/Scrum development methodologies.• Serving as a Team Lead for a software development team.
