Senior Storage Engineer
Kronos is seeking a seasoned Sr. Storage Engineer capable of integrating into an experienced team responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of company's Cloud network, services and security systems. The position requires practical knowledge and expertise in building and administrating complex storage environments.
•Design, implementation and support of Enterprise SAN Fabric, Storage, and Data Backups.
•Manage Storage/SAN infrastructure on production and non-production environments across global infrastructure with varying delivery methods
•Fine tune storage configurations to get the best performance/resource consumption
•Document existing and new infrastructure deployments using run book and architecture diagrams.
•Implement processes to standardize cloud operating practices and procedures
•Support ticket / queue management and escalations in a follow the sun support model
•Support and work within the ITIL support structure for Change, Problem and Capacity management
•Participate in 24x7 system support rotation as well as escalations
•Proactively research new and/or updated technologies as they come available that pertain to our environment.
•BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years related work experience
•At least 3 years of experience implementing storage solutions in Hosted production environments
•Thorough understanding of SAN and fiber switches is mandatory
•Experience in patching/upgrading storage firmware is mandatory
•Experience in provisioning storage to Virtual Infrastructure is mandatory
•Experience in storage tiering, cache, compression, deduplication, snapshots and replication technologies
•Experience managing backup specific storage arrays is a plus
•Thorough knowledge of enterprise storage arrays with emphasis on performance, reliability and scale, 3PAR specific knowledge a plus
•Scripting and automation experience desired, Ansible knowledge a plus
•Experience with storage/backup solutions for large scale highly virtualized environments
•Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity
•ITIL experience required
•HIPAA experience a plus
•Industry certifications a strong plus but not a replacement for working experience
