Rapid Micro Biosystems Software Verification Engineer, Senior in Lowell, Massachusetts
The senior software verification engineer participates and provides leadership in planning, executing and documenting verification and validation efforts. This position works with complex electromechanical instruments that include software, robotic control, and precision optical technologies. This candidate will participate in planning, creating, executing, tracking, and documenting test cases and results.
The verification engineer works with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists and should demonstrate a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset, a willingness to learn and understanding software/hardware testing methodologies, and a solid understanding of software engineering principles and processes.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical leadership and task management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills to document plans and results
Understanding of one or more of the following languages: C#, python, C++, Java
Ability to create software for automated testing
Ability to debug software under test to help root cause defects.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to help track product and process tasks and report status.
Execute and maintain software scripts, review logs and troubleshoot issues
Work in large teams in a fast-paced environment and produce test cases and result reports.
Software scripting tools (PowerShell, Python, Visual Basic Script, SilkTest) a plus.
SQL Express database, XML, Azure DevOps experience a plus.
Basic understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems, Network & email protocols, a plus.
Execute detailed test cases/frameworks (manual/automated).
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
6 - 8 Years of Experience
B.S. Computer Science or equivalent
Understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
