Rapid Micro Biosystems Test Technician in Lowell, Massachusetts
The Quality Test Technician is responsible for the inspection and testing of complex robotic equipment in manufacturing. In support of this, ensure data management, metrics, and reports are maintained. Provide support and oversight to assigned elements of the companies Quality Management System.
Provide appropriate levels of in-process and final inspection and test of product to ensure design and performance requirements are met.
Perform set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of moderately complex circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
Conduct verification/?validation and standard testing of our Growth Direct System and components
Coordinate ongoing test programs with our Quality and Engineering departments for new and existing products to ensure high levels of quality and reliability
Analyze and report data from in-house and field tests
Maintain detailed records of all test plans and test results
Perform customized testing to identify any performance/?reliability issues for current product lines
Participate in continuous improvement through the development and implementation of enhanced test methods
Provide input to maintain and improve product quality by investigating customer complaints and analyzing nonconforming material reports. Partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Service on product performance for improvement opportunities.
Support the maintenance of quality metrics (e.g., field, manufacturing, and inspection) and key process indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience with test methods and standards for the validation of design/manufacturing products and processes
Ability to interpret drawings, work instructions and inspection and test plans.
Strong experience documenting test results and maintaining GDP practices.
Proficient with instrumentation and computer tools for data collection
Good verbal (including presentation) and written communication skills
Knowledge of complex capital equipment and associated processes and testing methodologies.
Solid understanding of testing techniques and use of inspection and test equipment.
Must be proficient with computers and records management.
Engineering degree, Associates or higher preferred, in mechanical or electrical
1-5 years in a test engineering role with complex capital equipment
Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with minimal supervision. Work independently, establish priorities and make decisions. Needs to be ambitious and have a sense of urgency
