KIPP Data Manager in Lynn, Massachusetts

Data Manager Reporting to the Director of Data, the KIPP MA Data Manager is a talented, committed, and culturally competent individual who supports the school campus and region by managing and maintaining critical school data, testing, and scheduling systems. The Data Manager’s work is crucial to our regional strategic plan and school-based strategic priorities. The Data Manager serves as an internal advisory function, supporting school and regional teams with analysis, prediction, and data systems support. This role helps ensure that efficiently analyzing these data systems support teaching and learning within our schools. This means troubleshooting with school operations staff, analyzing data during meetings, and piloting innovative techniques to guide our region towards making long-term transformative outcomes for students. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting and Analysis * Conducts analyses of student achievement data and school information using relevant visualization tools such as Excel or Tableau * Develops and designs dashboards and other reports or analyses that answer questions for key stakeholders, provide insight on student, school, and regional academic performance trends and patterns and progress over time (i.e. student and homeroom growth and achievement, subject specific standard trends over time, regional enrollment and demographics) * Completes data verification and support of external data requests ( i.e. state & compliance reporting, KIPP Foundation reporting, etc.) * Supports external and ad hoc internal data requests for teams across the region Collaboration and Partnership Management * Supports Data Director to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams * Joins data related meetings – i.e. Data Days, Academic Progress Monitoring Meetings, staff professional development sessions – where data is used to inform instruction Systems Management * Maintains data warehouse of all student assessment results * Ensures accurate data collection and entry into systems * Coordinates rostering, setup, maintenance, and rollover of online platforms related to regional assessments (i.e. Illuminate, NWEA, STAR) Coaching and Development * Develops reference tools and other resources to support ongoing training and professional development * Trains and supports academic leaders on successful use of assessment related platforms (i.e. setting up assessments, running and reading reports, etc.) Regional Responsibilities * Embody KIPP MA’s Code of Conduct by acting with integrity, leading with humanity, centering self-awareness and critical consciousness, taking personal responsibility, and engaging productively * Participate and engage in regional professional development and community events as required KIPP MA staff are supported in their demanding work by experienced and dedicated leadership and staff who have themselves proven successful in their role. What We Offer The starting base salary range for this exempt position is $50,000 to $65,000 (per 1.0 FTE/45 hours per week) with a $1,000 signing bonus—and $2,000 retention and $3,000 longevity bonuses in subsequent years.
