Eastern Bank VP, Product Manager III in Lynn, Massachusetts
Under the direction of the Treasury Management Product Director, the Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of an assigned set of Treasury Management products for the purpose of delivering value to Eastern customers, expanding customer relationships, and increasing revenue to the Bank. The Product Manager position manages the product lifecycle process including concept, strategy, development, management, marketing, communication, profitability, sales support, and risk management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES :
Creates, coordinates, and presents product and business plans including proof of concept, pricing, profitability, competitive analysis, functionality, and sales strategy; collaborates with project stakeholders, end-users, internal technology, and external vendors to implement project plans related to product initiatives.
Acts as subject matter expert for assigned products and provides support as needed to resolve product-related issues; the Product Manger acts as a key point of contact when there are critical issues experienced with the product.
Works closely with Operations to ensure successful ongoing product delivery, including assistance with applicable procedures.
Addresses and responds to requirements and assessments related to security, audit, compliance, and enterprise risk.
Manages vendor relationships, including customer experience and compliance related activities.
Develops product descriptions, implementation guides and training for internal teams and customers; ensures all marketing assets are current and compliant.
Regularly analyze and report key performance indicators for assigned products.
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING :
The Product Manager will act as champion of strategic product management initiatives and work directly with internal teams to execute product delivery as determined by the Treasury Management Product Director and senior management. This position will work independently to support sales, service and operational teams with documentation, training, and marketing materials. The Product Manager will work directly with vendors to ensure product delivery requirements are met, resolve issues, and obtain key performance metrics.
REQUIREMENTS :
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree preferred OR equivalent work experience
4 to 8 years of experience in Treasury Management, or support of Treasury customers
Demonstrated success in product and/or project management
Business acumen and understanding of business processes related to Treasury Management products and customers
Strong analytical skills: ability to work through complex concepts, interpret data and present cohesive, simple solutions
Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Strong consultative and well-articulated communication and writing skills
Skills/Knowledge:
CTP and/or AAP Certification preferred
Project Management skills/experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) required
Working Conditions:
Hybrid remote in Lynn, MA
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee frequently is required to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer. The employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. They also occasionally travel to locations outside of the facility, to attend meetings, trainings, events, and other business activities. The employee occasionally positions self to maintain or access files in file cabinets. The employee must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee frequently observes details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move boxes or equipment up to 20 pounds across office for various needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Persons holding this position are generally subject to inside environmental conditions having the lighting, temperature, and noise level of an open floor-plan office environment (moderate, but occasionally loud at times). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
