Medtronic is searching for a passionate and talented professional to join our Compensation team. In this position you will assess, diagnosis and deploy compensation programs and solutions. You will provide compensation expertise while consulting with your client groups on human capital strategies and initiatives. You will work on building efficiencies and effectiveness in our HR operating model for the Enterprise Operations and Global Functions organizations. You will interact with various levels of management, including executive committee leaders, and influence employee engagement through broad-based compensation and rewards programs. Project management, consulting skills, and analytical skills will be important competencies for a successful candidate. This is a highly collaborative role in a very matrixed organization.

This position can reside in one of our US Medtronic offices or work remote.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Consult with HR business partners and business leaders on a wide range of compensation topics and projects

  • Provide business perspective and input to the Global Rewards - Center of Excellence for the design of Global Reward programs, policies, procedures, practices, systems, communications and reporting of key metrics

  • Partner with program leaders to deploy compensation program(s)

  • Conduct job evaluations for Director/Sr Dir and VP roles, collaborating with HR business partners and business leaders

  • Manage core broad based compensation program activities (e.g. Annual Reward Planning)

  • Collaborate across HR on programs, initiatives, and issue resolution

  • Conduct analysis of compensation data to identify trends and issues and develop recommendations

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and 7+ years experience in Compensation, HR or Finance OR Masters Degree and 5+ years in Compensation, HR or Finance

Nice to Have

  • Expertise in compensation principles, program design, communication, and implementation

  • Experience providing support to multiple client groups and managing competing priorities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work at all levels of the organization executive presence

  • Strong business acumen

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience in Workday

  • Certification in Human Resources such as a CCP, PHR, SPHR or GPHR
