Are you interested in joining a dynamic, inclusive, and growing high tech team? RMD is looking for a Director I level candidate to support the Advanced Technology organization and serve as the Deputy Director of the Advanced Sensors business within AT.

As a highly visible member of the Advanced Technology team, this challenging position supports the AT Leadership in the management of the AT business and will be responsible for the capture and execution on a range of programs and pursuits across a diverse customer base including DARPA & ONR – both internal and external. This position fosters and matures emerging technologies that are not well understood inside the company or the customer community. This position will also be responsible for strategy development and the alignment of company investment with future business opportunities. The diverse customer set coupled with the high complexity of advanced technology requires a multi-talented leader.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This highly complex position will hold management responsibility for all phases of technical, financial and schedule performance on multiple (> 50) programs and capture efforts. In this capacity, the Director will:

Achieve all financial, technical and schedule objectives for programs and new business initiatives

Establish milestones and monitor adherence to program/capture master plans and schedules

Develop control systems and reports to assess progress

Direct the performance of program/capture cross-business teams in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, digital technology, and contracts

Identify potential problems and implement corrective actions

Anticipate customer needs to ensure satisfaction and continued business

Ensure all technical objectives of assigned programs are achieved

Guide the performance and career development of Advanced Technology personnel including senior technologists, program and capture leaders

Assess trends, gaps and priorities in sensor-related technologies to inform strategy, capture decisions and guide program execution

Support the development of Annual Operating and Long Range Business Plans

This position can be based out of the RMD Massachusetts locations or Portsmouth, RI and requires 20% of travel.

14 years of experience; preferably in a mul

-discipline environment working in Contract Research & Development, specifically in new business capture, proposal development, technology evalua

ti

on, strategy development, program management, and technical contribu

ti

on.

Existing Top Secret Security Clearance.

Significant Engineering and Program Management experience

Experience in leading a portfolio of science and technology CRAD (Contract Research and Development) proposals and programs.

Experience with project management tools including Earned-Value Management Systems

Experience leading the development and management of an Intellectual Property por

tf

olio including obtaining Intellectual Property on emerging technologies.

sts, and technicians; including the ability to work in a team environment and effec

Experience driving a focused and geographically-dispersed team toward Company goals along with the ability to inspire innovation and creativity.

Experience in technology application across multiple domains (space, air, surface, subsurface), across the entire kill chain (sensors, C5I, effectors) and in large-scale Systems of Systems (SoS).

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) field. Advanced degree’s preferred.

This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Secret security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
