Only students that are actively enrolled in a degree seeking program will be considered for internships & co-ops at Hologic. Candidates who have completed their most recent degree program will not be considered for this internship.

The R&D Software Engineering team is part of the Surgical Research and Development at Hologic. This team is responsible for the research and development of our current Fluent product as well as future product development in the area of women's health.

The student selected for this role will help with software development tasks and testing associated with the existing Fluent device and future products. In addition to software development tasks you will learn the process and importance of documentation.

In order to be considered for an opportunity at Hologic, students must possess the following:

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelors & have at least 1 semester left after internship

  • Achieved a 3.2/4.0 GPA or higher

  • Rising Junior or Senior

  • Major in: Software Engineering or Computer Science

  • Obtaining course credit for the completion of the co-op assignment

  • Experience with: C, C++, and/or Java code design and development

  • Lab skills in the area of debugging using an oscilloscope, DVM, or other

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, problem solving & analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong independent judgment and leadership skills

  • Available from January-June 2020
