The Director, Strategic Development will report to the SVP, Operations and Strategic Development. In this newly created role, the Director will own, support and drive strategic initiatives that are critical to Aspen achieving its vision of becoming a Technology Leader in Sustainability. The Director will work in leadership and support roles, both cross functionally and with the executive team, to identify, plan and drive successful and timely execution of projects and initiatives that support aerogel and thermal barrier capacity expansion, partnering, and asset optimization.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in management consulting with a top-tier firm or in a corporate strategy role with a focus on growth-oriented projects and strategic due diligence, and have a proven track record of managing large, complex and cross functional initiatives. The candidate must possess exceptional analytical skills, be results oriented and proficient in leading and influencing cross-functional teams, and have a solutions-oriented mindset coupled with strong communication skills to effectively partner with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and support multiple strategic initiatives.
Organize cross-functional teams and external resources to develop and implement actionable plans in support of aerogel and thermal barrier capacity expansion, partnering, and asset optimization goals.
Conduct rigorous market and financial analysis on impactful strategic questions and propose specific recommendations that will enable the executive management team to make sound decisions.
Proactively identify, develop and support initiatives that advance strategic objectives of the Company in order to enhance the customer experience, achieve process improvements, enter new markets, and grow the business.
Participate in formulation of business strategy, including commercial strategy, product strategy, technology strategy, and competitive strategy analysis.
Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, general management, and global operations.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering disciplines, MBA is preferred.
A proven record of leading and influencing cross-functional teams to gain alignment, resolve conflicts and deliver results.
Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
Adroit at exercising judgment within broadly defined practices and policies, and selecting methods and techniques of obtaining solutions to problems of varying complexity, requiring analysis of identifiable factors.
