Raytheon Integrated Communication Systems - Secure Systems Section Manager in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Raytheon SAS Systems Engineering, Integration & Test Center, Secure Systems Department is seeking a talented Engineering Section Manager who is a recognized technical leader committed to creating innovative and cost-effective system security solutions. The Section Manager will lead an engineering team responsible for the design, implementation, and certification of system security services and products such as cyber security, cryptography, anti-tamper, software assurance, supply chain assurance, and / or operations security for communication systems. This is a high-growth technical area and the candidate must be a self-starter that enjoys collaboration and pursuing innovative, practical solutions. The Section Manager provides technical guidance and mentoring for his/her section members and is also accountable to programs that his /her employees support ensuring that the work products are of the highest quality and meet the program objectives. The Section Manager reports directly to the Department Manager and will team with the Department Manager in the execution of the Center’s objectives and engineering goals. Required Skills: Minimum of 10 years of related experience Must have as a minimum an active secret security clearance and the ability to obtain the required program clearances Experience managing (cost and schedule) systems engineering product teams within a program Very strong demonstrated organization, coordination, planning and teaming skills Demonstrated ability to communicate at different levels of the organization Experience in one or more Program Protection Disciplines (NSA Certification, Anti-Tamper, Cyber Security (RMF), Supply Chain Risk Management, Software Assurance and/or OPSEC) Experience in embedded system design and development Experience in using tools and metrics in managing activities Familiarity with sizing engineering efforts and bidding program pursuits Project management skills including project scheduling and tracking (IMP/IMS) and earned-value management US Citizenship with ability to access US Only data Desired Skills: Experience with DOORs Understanding of operation, design, implementation, or testing of RF or Communication Systems Technical Publications and/or Patents Experience performing functional management activities including staffing, conducting performance reviews and career discussions, participating in compensation discussions, and flowing communications/information from higher levels down to section members Active or recent CISSP or equivalent Certification Qualified Six Sigma Specialist Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics. Desired Education: Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
