Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Scrum Master (SM) is a member of the DevOps Agile Product team responsible to provide scrum team coaching, servant leadership, and direction within the Program.

The SM Provides coaching to focus on daily objectives and goals for meeting Program Increment (PI) objectives. They facilitate the ceremonies and supports the Product Owner to manage backlog, prioritization and estimation. They help in resolving the impediments, and enables communication, readiness to Agile events.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Exhibits the behaviors of a Lean-Agile servant leader with a Lean-Agile mindset. Helps the team embrace core Agile values and principles (SAFe or Scrum or Kanban.)

• Facilitates all the team’s ceremonies depending on the framework used (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)

• Responsible for ensuring that the committed stories to sprint backlog is completed

• Address roadblocks, many of which will be beyond the Scrum team’s scope or will require support from other teams

• Coordinates with other teams (namely System Team, UX, DevOps, Shared Services, security), cross- program/ART dependencies – for example participates in Scrum of Scrum Meetings (for ARTs) and/or other PI Planning sessions

• Improves team performance by identifying, managing, and supporting resolution of team impediments

• Communicates progress, impediments to customers, team and management as needed

• Conducts performance appraisals of staff and provides career guidance through regular coaching and mentoring.

• Displays an engineering mindset and systems thinking while understanding the economic view.

• Embraces a continuous improvement mind-set and highlights opportunities to improve efficiency of scrum teams

• May be required to mentor other Scrum Masters as needed


• Total 10+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in a Scrum Master role

• Proven experience in leading scrum teams developing technical architectural runway stories and horizontal system support enablement stories

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe SM preferred

• Experienced and adept user of Agile Lifecycle Management tools, particularly JIRA

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate software engineering and/or development concepts and principles

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with other engineers including distributed team members

• Situationally Aware -- notice differences and issues as they arise and address them.

• Attitude of transparency -- bring disclosure and transparency to the Product Owner about the team and grow business trust.

• Aware of cloud offerings, DevOps, Log Monitoring concepts and have an understanding of how they are leveraged

• Experience working in a SAFe framework is preferred


• Knowledge of application monitoring and event management using tools such as Splunk

Minimum Education Requirements: Relevant undergraduate BA, BS degree in IT or Business or equivalent experience

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $78K-$115K*
