The Senior Director of IT- Commercial is a key position reporting directly to the VP, IT Commercial. The successful candidate will be an energetic and clear communicator who possesses outstanding organizational management and has a strong Commercial business acumen. The Sr. Director will have seasoned management skills and will be adept at collaborating with various stakeholders across IT and the business. This includes working with senior business leadership and stakeholders to understand the business processes, priorities and current risks and opportunities. The Sr. Director will work hand in hand with their key business stakeholders, the VP, IT Commercial, and their delivery teams to develop technology roadmaps and solutions to address and solve for the relevant business opportunities across Hologic’s commercial divisions. The candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, judgment, integrity, and leadership.

This position is ideally located in Marlborough, MA and may require approximately 25% travel.

Duties & Responsibilities

This person will report directly to theVP, IT Commercial, and work closely with the divisional leadership teams and key stakeholders to assure priorities are understood and prioritized. This Sr. Director will build out a shared service team with commercial capabilities focus to support the needs across the commercial divisions within Hologic. Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead, manage, and drive overall technology strategy to support the divisional strategies including responsibility for technology roadmap, design, delivery, budget, and alignment to defined project timelines and milestones.

  • Work with International IT and Business teams to determine Divisional/Regional specific and Cross business roadmaps, and strategies.

  • Lead strategic initiatives to support the growth plans of Hologic’s divisions and optimization/expansion of commercial capabilities.

  • Define and implement creative solutions using Hologic application platforms and other enterprise platforms to simplify business processes while increasing efficiencies and driving growth opportunities.

  • Drive innovative and reliable critical commercial capabilities across commercial platforms including; sales, marketing, web, CPQ, and order management.

  • Partner with the business on ongoing management of the business prioritization process for technology.

  • Ensure projects are sourced with appropriate resources from IT.

  • Partnering with commercial leadership to ensure proper oversight and ownership of the execution of projects and programs, ensuring that the needs of the business are being properly addressed.

  • Represent the business priorities within the IT governance process.

  • Utilize appropriate and frequent communication mechanisms with the business stakeholders to manage their priorities and projects.

  • Deliver business results within budget & deliver expected ROI on IT investments.

Skills & Experience

This person is a self-motivated individual with excellent team management and organizational skills who possesses:

  • Integrity - By reputation and by consistent performance, they must be viewed by the C- level executive team as utterly trustworthy, and by other levels of the organization as a fair and trusted member of the IT team.

  • Emotional stability and resilience - Due to the high stakes attached to each strategic initiative, and by virtue of the high level of accountability that is expected of each stakeholder, the atmosphere in which they work is one of high expectations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or related discipline; Masters preferred.

  • 15+ years of business experience working with senior leadership and executive levels of organizations preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience working with Dx and/or Lab functions.

  • Proficient people manager with experience of performance management and goal setting for team members.

  • Ability to take high-level ideas, strategies, and ambiguous objectives, and translate them into clear strategic communication artifacts for multi-level audiences – executives to specific team members.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to drive structured problem solving and solutions across broad stakeholder groups.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to deal well with shifting priorities and assignments.

  • Presents an appropriately professional image; communicates clearly, concisely, and diplomatically.

  • Develops and fosters strong business relationships with colleagues on a global basis.

  • Demonstrates leadership, initiative, efficiency, productivity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

  • Respects confidential / sensitive information.

  • Motivated to continuously learn new things, maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Flexible working style that is adaptable to disparate audiences and working styles
