    What you’ll do

    As a Senior Engineer in Test you will work within the Core Engineering team that supports North America Solution Delivery (NASD) agile release trains (ARTs) based on the Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe). Your responsibility will include performing test automation activities that enable the NASD teams to deliver solutions for both the Front and Back of Stores within TJX IT, with speed and does not forgo product quality. The organization delivers capabilities to the stores that enrich the customer experience and provide business value.

    Responsibilities

  • Integrate with Agile development teams to test new feature development and identify software defects

  • Evangelize best practices for software quality

  • Participate in product technical design discussions and product design reviews

  • Drive Verification and Validation activities, which encompass reviews of stories, test automation and manual verification as necessary, and report test traceability thereof.

  • Responsible for code analysis, debugging, review and execution of unit/integration tests. Create test automation scripts. Responsible for delivering clean, secure, performant code / technology components that meets all the non-functional requirements.

  • Acts in Lead Engineer capacity for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance and resolving issues.

  • Sets up application jobs, creates test data, and supports deployment, all at a medium to high level of complexity.

  • Build new tests using our current framework (Eggplant DAI, IntelliQA robotics, as well as ALM/UFT to run older test cases) for POS systems and Back of Store applications (Like Kronos, Loss Prevention and Inventory/Markdowns as examples) across multiple platforms – mobile, PEDS, Registers, browser-based applications etc,)

  • Integrate automation with continuous integration (Jenkins) and test reporting systems (TestRail, Allure)

  • Refactor existing tests and extend test frameworks as needed

  • Participate in SQA code reviews

  • Build new tests using our current framework (Eggplant DAI, IntelliQA robotics, as well as ALM/UFT to run older test cases) for POS systems and Back of Store applications (Like onos, Loss Prevention and Inventory/Markdowns as examples) across multiple platforms – mobile, PEDS, Registers, browser-based applications etc,)

    Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of software design, development, testing and implementation experience

  • Understanding DevOps principles and tools

  • Experience working with cloud hosted applications and API’s (Preferred)

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Test Tools with JIRA to be part of fully functional Agile Team.

  • Skilled in planning and leading test efforts for software development projects on Agile teams.

  • Skilled in designing and documenting test cases and test plans, and running those plans across complex applications, systems and hardware.

  • Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills

  • Clear, pro-active communication

  • Knowledge of SQL a plus
