The Sr. Manager, Solutions Architecture and App Management, Sourcing, HR & Finance, Corporate IT focuses on identifying, implementing, and supporting technical solutions for business problems across Corporate IT in the Strategic Sourcing, Human Resources, Finance and Legal business functions, while also acting as the technology SME for our business partners. This role will focus on solution planning, innovation, and technology evaluations with a specific focus on Corporate G&A solutions. This role will be a launchpad to understanding the technology stack with focus on breadth vs. depth to a specific technology. In addition, the role will work with business partners to solve real-world business problems providing exposure to the business domains.
This role requires strong analytical skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and an interest to learn new leading-edge technologies. The blend of technical and analytical skills is needed to help identify and recommend technical solutions to solve real-world business problems. In this role, you will develop and maintain positive relationships with our business partners.
The right candidate will make decisions by analyzing data, patterns and trends that can lead to an optimal solution. The role will undertake “exploratory builds” as part of solution evaluation (PoCs) and provide architectural guidance to application management / MSP groups responsible for building solutions.
The role will provide solution architecture and application support services for business and technical systems by leading Corporate / G&A application efforts, including Contract Lifecycle Management (iCertis, Ariba, Coupa), Procure to Pay (Oracle iProcurement / EBS, Basware), Order to Cash (Oracle EBS, IBM Cloud B2B integrations / EDI), Human Resources and Learning Management (Workday, SumTotal) and provide solution direction and support on other Corporate IT / G&A applications. This role will participate in software product evaluations, project planning, application integrations, implementation/installation, testing, trouble shooting, and supporting of COTS, Cloud, and custom applications. This position requires strong communications, planning and technical skills working directly with various levels of the business and external vendors.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and drive Corporate IT application and support service strategy, architecture, design, requirements elicitation, Agile development, deployments, quality assurance and testing, and end-user training resulting in high quality Corporate IT applications and services that support the Strategic Goals and Objectives of the business.
Foster a world-class customer service and business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continuous improvement techniques.
Provide operational oversight for MSP support and delivery of Corporate IT Services. Monitor the MSP support team to ensure the response, troubleshooting and resolving of daily user issues as well as the effective use of their capacity to implement enhancements, create and maintain proper documentation for all systems, installations, procedures, and continuous process improvement. Define and provide escalation points for incidents and requests if MSP handling is not sufficient.
Translate business requirements into actionable demand including, budget, effort and timeline that can be assessed and prioritized by the IT Leadership Team (ITLT) and Corporate Systems Governance committees as required.
Provide architectural guidance to “development teams”, drive architecture reviews and adherence to established EA Principles and Standards
Manage and Execute projects related to Corporate IT Services leveraging internal and external resources, and ensuring full compliance with SDLC, development and security standards, including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, transition to operations, and retirement (as needed).
Build and maintain relationships with other IT and business users to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and respond with agility to changing business priorities. Preparing customer reports and attending customer strategy meetings.
Coordinate with other IT functions to manage CMDB, server configurations, upgrades, and strategy definition for departmental objectives.
Provide strategic direction and partnership with business functions by demonstrating a detailed understanding of end-to-end business processes and how systems and technology drive value and efficiency and support each business process.
Manage the delivery and support of business applications and technology solutions in specific G&A and cross-functional business areas in a shared-services environment.
Ensures primary responsibility for keeping software applications up to date, supported, compliant, secure and inter-operable at the software, integration and supporting technology levels (i.e. server OS, database, end user computing layer).
Manage relationships with Corporate IT / G&A software and service providers
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge and skills indicate the education level, previous experience, specific knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to meet the minimum requirements for this position.
Experience with G&A applications and related business processes that span throughout G&A departments including Sourcing, Procurement, Human Resources, Finance and Legal.
Experience with the following end-to-end business processes and related applications:
Contract Lifecycle Management systems and processes (iCertis, Ariba, Coupa)
HRMS systems and processes (Workday, SumTotal LMS)
B2B integration systems and processes (IBM Cloud B2B, EDI, SFTP, Unix Shell Scripting)
Procure to Pay systems and processes (Oracle EBS / iProcurement, Basware)
Order to Cash systems and processes (Oracle EBS)
Hands on experience and working knowledge of Workday’s integration framework, business processes and security model.
Demonstrated end-to-end experience working with business partners and affiliates to propose and deliver IT solution implementation and support services including requirements gathering, business case development, developing and delivering proposals, project inception, project oversight, project management, transition to operations and ongoing maintenance and support services.
Comprehensive experience with an SDLC and technical writing skills (user guides, manuals, technical specifications, training materials, policies, procedures, work instructions, protocols, project report and proposals)
Strong experience in leading projects and activities in application integrations/implementation including planning, Business requirements gathering/definition, designing, building, development, validation/testing and supporting.
Defines and leads business process/technology improvements (includes process documentation, optimization and automation, technology opportunities)
Business Process Management (Workflows); optimization and automation
Ability to meet project deadlines, ability to train and supervises subordinate personnel; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, peers, and supervisors; ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions; ability to follow or give verbal or written instructions as applicable.

Education level and/or relevant experience(s):
Bachelor’s degree required with a technical or business concentration preferred.
10 years of IT/business experience supporting, leading, and managing a complex mix of applications and support activities in a shared-services environment.
Minimum of 7 years working in an IT role in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Two or more years of experience managing G&A business application staff, consultants, external resources, budget.
Hands-on leadership experience in a shared-services environment supporting international operations.
