What you'll do

As a User Experience Designer at Cytiva, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute broadly across the business applying your UX skills to enhance our product user experiences. You’ll apply your talents to develop UX best practices and standards, including our Cytiva Software Guidelines ensuring we reach our goal to deliver a “family of products”. You’ll enjoy working with our Cytiva brand and have a keen eye for translating the essence of a brand into visuals and user-friendly interfaces.

  • Push the boundaries of current interaction models to create better experiences for our customers

  • Develop innovative design solutions that solve complex enterprise workflows and scientific functions across a range of biomanufacturing software systems

  • Collaborate remotely with product teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones to create and apply UX best practices and brand standards

  • Identify patterns across products, design standard solutions and iterate with product teams to refine

  • Establish UX strategies that address business objectives, enable measurement through key performance indicators, and meet requirements of our target audiences

  • Create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups to convey standards for branding, navigation systems and user interface components

  • Consider all usage scenarios including various screen size and device requirements (desktop, tablet, mobile)

  • Communicate and test user experiences via mockups, interactive prototypes and working software, applying research methods to collect UX feedback and iterate

  • Participate in UX research to uncover opportunities, iterate to improve and to gain knowledge of our products and our customer’s needs.

Who you are

  • BA/BS degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Fine Arts, HCI or other related fields or equivalent practical experience

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience as a UX Designer, Interaction Designer, Information Architect, or similar role, preferably working on enterprise software products

  • Experience creating and applying UX guidelines, design systems, component libraries, responsive components

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and how UX design works within that process

  • Strong online portfolio that demonstrates experience creating enterprise-class, commercial-grade design solutions

  • Deep understanding of front-end technologies and limitations across web-based and desktop applications, responsive design and mobile apps

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment

  • Good time management skills

  • Possess a mastery of visual design principles including layout, typography, information hierarchy, color theory, and brand expression

  • Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma or similar and experience using prototyping and collaboration tools like InVision, Zeplin or similar

  • Experience designing accessible interfaces that adhere to ADA and WCAG accessibility guidelines

  • US Work Permit required
