What Clinical Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Clinical Operations is responsible for supporting the timely and quality sale, installation and monitoring of Cardinal Health products and services may also provide product and service education to facilitate technology adoption and workflow change management. Our Consultant will need to be able to travel up to 80% across the US.

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical operations, products and services
  • Leads the post-sales assessment, design, implementation and monitoring of new products and services in multi-site and/or complex environments
  • Develops, plans and manages customer training programs in multi-site and/or complex environments
  • Serves as lead consultant and resource to internal and external customers in multi-site and/or complex environments
  • Mentors internal staff regarding best demonstrated practices
  • Initiates discussion to obtain in-depth customer feedback for product and service improvement opportunities


  • Achieve and maintain advanced knowledge of Cardinal Health Urology portfolio
  • Achieve and maintain advanced knowledge of Cardinal Health Skin, Wound, Incontinence, Thermometry and Sharps Safety Portfolios
  • Provide Phone, email, and in-person training and clinical support to clinicians and Cardinal Health employees
  • Provide initial and ongoing clinical training for sales and other team members
  • Present clinical information during sales presentations
  • Coordinate clinical aspects of product evaluations and conversions
  • Assist with trade shows and other marketing functions
  • Develop presentations and educational tools
  • Review and assist in the development of marketing tools
  • Assist with field testing of new products
  • Assist with gathering clinical information related to complaint investigations
  • Assist with other products and projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Undergraduate nursing degree required
  • Ability to travel 80% across the US
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 6-8 years of experience in related in Medical-Surgical or Critical Care nursing required, Infection Control expertise preferred.
  • RN licensure
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications
  • This position is field based, with national travel possible.
  • Must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis.
