E3 Federal Solutions Principal Investigator/Product Manager - Navy Systems in Massachusetts

The Principal Investigator/Product Manager for Naval Systems will have responsibility to:

  • Drive technical direction and development of QinetiQ efforts related to naval and shipboard system development, production, and life cycle support.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, and Business Development to identify new customer opportunities; develop technical, capture, and delivery strategies; and execute and implement plans to drive delivery.

  • Provide technical leadership working within the internal (US and international) business and external (industry and customer) communities to build relationships, develop partnerships, and expand awareness for our naval and shipboard system capabilities.

  • Develop, implement, and execute technology/product roadmaps related to naval and shipboard systems and align with other product and technology areas. Identify, propose, and execute strategic investments to align with roadmap.

  • Lead interdisciplinary technical teams to execute complex projects, ranging from early development and experimentation to program of record delivery. Drive and monitor execution within funding, schedule, and customer constraints.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage customers, write proposals, lead teams, interact with internal and external customers, and successfully execute complex programs.

  • Ability to manage technology/product development with objective of transition technologies from early development to mature product/program.

  • Strong project management and leadership skills. Able to lead multidisciplinary teams, supervise and mentor senior and junior level engineers, plan and manage projects including tasks and budgets. Defense program related experience desired.

  • Demonstrated experience managing fast paced initiatives and making system level tradeoffs, often with multiple stakeholders, with complex cost, schedule, and customer constraints.

  • Hands on experience with development processes, methods, and management for Navy Navy development, production, and life cycle support programs.

  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills with extensive technical & proposal writing experience. Strong presentation skills and the ability to lead customer and/or senior leadership interaction required.

  • Experience with MS Word, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • BS or MS in Engineering (or equivalent) with 8 - 10 years relevant experience.
