The Red Hat Digital Marketing User Experience (UX) team is looking for a creative, passionate individual who is ready to join us as a UX Design Intern and learn within an innovative and dynamic company. Primary job responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for:
Provide UX or visual designs to be implemented via a development team or by using a templated page builder
Interpret requirements to create digital experiences that connect people to Red Hat in meaningful, compelling ways
Work collaboratively with designers, developers, and content strategists
Facilitate ideation through brainstorming exercises and sketching to determine the direction for designs; guide concepts forward with rapid prototyping
Express site design concepts with wireframes, site maps, and user flow diagrams
Use and contribute to an enterprise design system
Required skills
School coursework or professional experience designing websites or digital media
Background of using web technology including HTML and CSS
Extremely detail-oriented, able to define ideas down to a production specification level
Solid communicator and creative thinker with a solid understanding of approaches to user experience for the web
Knowledge of digital graphic production, layout and typography, and experience using or contributing to a design system
High competence of the Adobe Creative Cloud (focus on Adobe XD), knowledge of Google Drive
Learning mindset, desire to master new technologies and tools
Current course of study in a relevant field like journalism, marketing, communications, graphic design
Ability to work full time May-August
Currently pursuing a degree; if you have graduated, be no more than 6 months past your graduation date

Passion for open source and working collaboratively
Good written and verbal communication skills
You’re willing to wear a lot of red
