Cisco Test Development Engineer - Acacia / Cisco in Maynard, Massachusetts

The Test Engineer will be a key member of the Operations Test Engineering organization and be a key contributor in the development of manufacturing test strategies in support of optical transceiver products. The manufacturing test strategy will include launch into our contract manufacturing partners. The Engineer will work directly with more Senior Test Engineers and Design Team to develop and implement low level test software and scripts to bring board level test strategies into mass production. You will be mentored to be a key interface to the hardware design team to offload test development during very early phases of the NPI process. You will be challenged to dive deep into the design to understand how it works and formulate plans to test while maximizing coverage. Key Essential Functions

· Drive a robust test process implementation along very aggressive launch timelines.

· Drivecreate innovative software strategies to optimize test densities and cost of test.

· Participate with more Senior members of the team to pull new product launch from Design community and push into our Contract Manufacturers.

· Be mentored to develop scalability of overall test architecturesstrategies. We are growing fast and need a strategic view on implementation

· Support deployed manufacturing test processes and drive continuous improvement.

· Actively drive closed loop corrective action and be accountable for testing and results.

Other Duties

· Work as part of a cross functional team and be responsible to present status and metrics as defined by the project plan.

· Work with a Global team across North America and Asia in support of NPI and launch into volume production

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications

· BS in Computer Science, Computer Systems, electrical engineering, physics with 5 years’ experience or MS degree with 3+ years of experience

· Focused Software Development Background with emphasis on efficient, scalable code

· Experience in test developmentvalidation in one area of Optics, RF andor digital test development

· Experience in National Instruments LabVIEW

· Experience with National Instruments TestStand

· Experience with C#, Python or other text-based languages

· Experience using source control tools (Perforce)

· Background launchingsupporting products in contract manufacturers

· Knowledge of High Volume production

· Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, process controls, SPC, test engineering

Special Physical/Travel Requirements

· International travel may be required (10%)

· Some off hours production support will be required
