Waters Principal Consulting Cloud Security Engineer in Milford, Massachusetts
Waters Corporation is currently seeking a Principal Consulting Cloud Security Engineer to join our Informatics organization.
As Principal Consulting Cloud Security Engineer you will be driving the delivery of cyber security controls on Waters’ cloud platform, identifying threats, risks and leading the security automation efforts. You will be acting as our cloud security subject matter expert and helping design solutions and automation for common security problems. You will be driving the adoption of standardized solutions and managing our Cloud Security Blueprint.

Manage Cloud Security Blueprint and drive adoption of standardized solutions;
Provide subject-matter expertise on designing and implementing cloud security controls;
Manage and develop security guardrails in the cloud ecosystem and maintain cloud security blueprint;
Design and implement application, network, and data security solutions to meet business and compliance objectives;
Participate in proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs and solutions;
Participate in and support security feature reviews and threat modelling;
Develop scripts and tooling to “shift-left” common security tasks to DevSecOps;
Develop automation and guidance to resolve common security problems;
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
10+ years experience in a software organization
5+ years experience in a Security Engineering or DevSecOps role;
Extensive experience with AWS security services such as AWS IAM, AWS GuardDuty and AWS Config;
Extensive experience with AWS foundational services and Docker/Kubernetes architecture;
Strong knowledge of common security controls frameworks, such as CIS, NIST, OWASP and cloud security best practices;
Understanding of common security issues beyond OWASP Top 10;
One of security qualifications, such as CISSP, GSEC, AWS-SAA, and / or AWS-SEC preferred
