Waters Principal Software Engineer - Smart Connected Products in Milford, Massachusetts
Waters Corporation is currently seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Smart Connected Products (SCP) platform to join our Informatics organization.
We are looking for a passionate software engineer with a talent for building quality software solutions. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment and engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, demonstrate problem-solving abilities, and present and share ideas through global collaboration.
A self-starter attitude, excellent communication, and dedication to innovative technologies are critical to this role.
Design, build and implement IoT systems, enabling the interface between the software and physical devices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design, document and implement quality solutions
Work independently and as part of a team with deep focus on hard technical problems and explain the why, how, and what, that makes your solution technically sound, provide constructive feedback regarding best practices, performance, and maintainability
Stay ahead of the curve with respect to new technologies and techniques with an eye towards continual improvement of both the team’s skill set and the product goals
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
8+ years’ experience as a software engineer, designing complex large-scale applications
Other Required Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with multiple technologies such as application servers, n-tier applications, database management systems and open source trends
Strong understanding of computer science algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
Hands-on experience with IoT cloud platform technologies
Proficiency in designing Multi-tenant SaaS applications with high-volume transactions
Experience developing with C#, .NET Core, Web API
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Big Data technologies
