Waters Senior DevOps Engineer in Milford, Massachusetts
In Waters, the Instrument Software group produces drivers for instruments used by people worldwide for specialist measurement and scientific analysis.
We are currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation to work on our DevOps team in a collaborative and agile environment where team members are empowered to innovate and continually improve.
Work collaboratively with software development teams to help deliver working software in a repeatable fashion.
Develop build plans
Help bring infrastructure and configuration as code to streamline our operations and processes which include Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment.
Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production environments.
Streamline our automated build and release pipeline from code compilation, to automated testing, thru deploying releases into multiple environments.
Assist in designing and implementing a common build framework to support multiple software development efforts.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+years of experience working in a CI/CD Infrastructure/DevOps role or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
A sense of urgency towards supporting software development efforts
Experience working with Python (2+ years strongly preferred)
Experience with the Atlassian Suite: Bamboo, Confluence, BitBucket & Jira
Experience with creating custom virtual machine templates for Windows and
Linux via Packer or any other provisioning tools
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Knowledge of PowerShell/bash
Proven experience working with Linux & Windows
