Waters Senior LC/MS Evaluation Scientist in Milford, Massachusetts
The Principal LC/MS Evaluation Scientist represents an exciting opportunity to lead our Systems Design Verification and Validation team.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide technical leadership, the candidate will be responsible for projects, test strategies and traceable test results against user requirements while ensuring that final product meets customer expectations and intended use.
This is a highly visable technical leadership position in which the individual could have a background expertise in LC/MS applications, Separation Science or Chemical Engineering. The candidate will work closely with Waters R&D organizations, especially our product management and development teams.
Lead technical team in the creation and execution of validation and verification plans to reduce potential errors during product design phases.
Drive validation/verification work completion to support assigned product roadmap
Participate in the review of key design input documents
Communicate plans and status to senior management.
Seek opportunities to collaborate and expand the role of Systems Design V&V across various disciplines
Provide cross functional scientific leadership including direct collaboration with product management, engineering, development and scientific operations.
Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of chromatographic systems
PhD or M.Sc. with 10 + years of experience in analytical chemistry or engineering.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in analytical lab and people management.
Other Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical LC/MS applications.
Broad knowledge of LC/MS instrumentation (Shimadzu, Agilent, Thermo, Waters etc.)
Strong communications skills
Strong leadership and collaborative team building skills with the track record to lead technical team.
