Help us build upon and expand MathWorks solution and enterprise architecture for business and customer engagement solutions! Utilize your experience in business and technology strategy, solution and application architecture, information architecture, integration and security to build upon our existing foundation!
We will look for you to provide leadership and strategic solutions in collaboration with other technology teams across MathWorks, as we advance our technology architecture capabilities.
A successful candidate will be able to think strategically and collaborate practically to define technology standards and roadmaps, design application solutions, and formalize architecture governance processes.
Technology Trends - Stay ahead of new technologies and application architecture standards to inform architecture strategies. Support technical evaluations and benchmarking of core application platforms, frameworks and technologies. Articulate pros and cons and cost analysis for technology recommendations.
Roadmaps – Define models and own the development of architecture roadmaps and application lifecycle for MathWorks’ Business Applications, aligned to business goals.
Solution Architecture – Provide concrete guidance in the development of solution architectures for new technologies or complex projects.
Governance - Establish overall Business Application Governance model(s). Collaborate to gain alignment on strategy, define and promote capability and technology standards, and ensure architecture consistency in solution design across business areas such as Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.
Management - Lead the Architecture team and collaborate as a member of the Business Applications Senior Leadership Team, to cultivate personnel development, employee engagement, and improved organizational culture.
Planning and Execution – Align Architecture work with the needs of business application teams, supporting company-wide initiatives and multi-functional projects. Embed architecture into Agile execution.
- A bachelor's degree and 15 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required. 5 years management experience is required.
10+ years in information technology and software development.
5+ years as a lead solution or enterprise architect in a heterogeneous environment.
Hands-on experience with custom development platforms as well as 3rd party product implementations, on-premise and cloud deployment solutions.
Familiarity with Business Architecture and Capability Modeling.
3+ years of experience in building and implementing architecture roadmaps. Demonstrated ability to translate strategy and roadmaps into implementation and realized business value.
Strong leadership experience in an enterprise and/or multi-functional role. Ability to influence and gain support from partners for architecture vision through effective communication and relationship building.
Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEA or similar.
