job summary:

Looking for an IT Operations Manager to assist in day-to-day coordination of Information Technology (IT) systems and staff. Ensure the technology needs within lines of business are being met by the IT department which includes managing the support function of the IT department, as well as the utilization of services from vendors. Responsible for interfacing directly with departments to obtain IT needs and deliver IT services efficiently and accurately.

  • Manage day to day IT operations

  • Ensure key systems are online and operating effectively

  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documented procedures for all significant IT tasks

  • Ensure uptime with key IT infrastructure

  • Work with VP of Information Technology Administration to ensure patching levels are current throughout key systems

  • Manage all IT applications, ensuring end users are setup correctly and in a timely fashion

  • Strong focus on financial performance and return on investment metrics for technologies in use and under consideration to be utilized

  • Direct interface with lines of business to analyze existing systems and make recommendations to enhance productivity; deploy new technology systems with specifications obtained from the line of business; work closely with business lines to ensure efficient return on investment

  • Create and manage IT Steering Committee, focus on line of business needs; report underutilized IT components and work to improve or eliminate

  • Under the direction of the SVP of IT, develop and adhere to IT operations budget; identify cost saving opportunities within service providers and IT infrastructure

  • Assist the SVP of IT to manage critical technology service provider relationships

  • Manage the implementation or conversion of technology service providers, ensuring system availability

  • Manage projects within fiscal and calendar constraints

  • Adhere to sound lifecycle management for all IT assets, ensuring compliance with licensing

  • Develop and recommend backup, replication and data protection strategies

  • Address all vulnerabilities in a timely and proactive fashion

  • Knowledge of department-related financial services regulations and compliance

  • Annually produce IT year in review for Executive Management

  • Report on status of social engineering awareness program

  • Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned
