Principal IT Product Owner
IDC is seeking an Principal IT Product Owner to join our team to build new digital platform that will serve CIOs and their organizations around the world. The platform will be rolled out as an inseparable part of a growing IDC product line. The candidate will work closely with the Product Manager to ensure the needs of the customers and IDC analysts are met.

Deliver an easy to use digital platform that supports the needs of our clients and evolving portfolio of products.
Serve as a liaison between our clients, Product Management, Research, Customer Service, User Experience and Technology teams.
Prioritize the team's backlog to meet key business goals and deliverable dates using available data and resources to guide decision making.
Communicate new features and functionality with internal stakeholders.
Socialize a clear view of priorities and progress against product roadmap with business partners and senior leadership.
Support cross-functional business teams by answering questions, making recommendations, providing training, and guiding user acceptance testing.
Gather and synthesize relevant data from the platform and look for opportunities for improvement.
Analyze user feedback and lead user interviews and user groups.
Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering.
8-10 years of experience in an IT department with 3+ years of product owner experience in technology teams with increasing levels of responsibilities in software development (knowledge of SQL is helpful).
Excellent communication skills required to develop effective working relationships and to present to all levels of the organization and regions.
Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and projects.
Demonstrate ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate new ideas with partners across the organization.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with key tools.
Issue and project tracking tool for agile development (Jira or similar tool).
Knowledge of tools for building wireframes or mockups (Figma, Balsamiq or similar).
Previous experience and deep understanding of user experience best practices.
Experience with software development using agile methodology.
This role is based in our Needham, MA office.
