What You Will Be Doing

You will split your time between managing 7 direct reports & doing hands-on software development work.

• Design, develop and implement software solutions to address complex business issues

• Work with Java 8 and Hadoop

• Run weekly check-in meetings & run team stand-up meetings

• Mentor team members on design, architecture & implementation

• Collaborate with our Chief Architect & Executive Members to define & prioritize the work

• Work closely with the QA Manager on delivering new functionality

• Work with our support team and address escalations from customers

What You Need for this Position

Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 8 years relevant work experience

• 3+ years experience with architecture and system design as well as 5+ years experience as enterprise architect

• 2+ years managing team/team lead experience

• Must have experience working with Java 8 and Hadoop

• Familiarity with React, a plus

• Excellent coding and design skills and a commitment to code and product quality

• Clear thinker who anticipates & develops strategies for future requirements & trends.

• Copes with change & decides well without having the total picture

• Highly self-motivated & directed

• Strong sense of responsibility & ownership

• Dedicated to exceeding the expectations & requirements of internal & external customers

• Excellent problem solving skills
