Jacobs’ Remote Sensing Division develops and deploys remote sensing products and services. Our core product line, the Aeroptic System, provides a technically differentiated aerial mapping capability in several market segments. The primary attribute for any position in the Remote Sensing Division is a dedication to problem-solving, whether you are operating from our office in Massachusetts or operating in an aircraft in Africa. Jacobs is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager (PM) to lead a multi-disciplinary team of operations and engineering personnel tasked with digital aerial mapping operations using a fleet of nationally deployed aircraft. In close collaboration with the both operations and engineering personnel within our organization, the PM oversees the coordination and administration of all cost, schedule, and performance aspects of this program, including planning, organizing, leading, controlling & monitoring, and stakeholder communications. The successful PM must be comfortable operating within an enterprise of stakeholders. He/she must have outstanding organizational and communications skills in order to keep multiple groups coordinated and keep the customers properly informed.
Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
Discusses the qualifications required of the key project positions in specific detail with the profit center and department managers.
Collaborates with the office facilities staff to address project space requirements.
Reviews and understands contracts and service agreements, and ensures project compliance with such governing documents.
Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution.
Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.
Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and company management of any such changes.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
A minimum of five years’ experience with operations or operations-related project management
A minimum of seven years’ program management experience.
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Aviation operations experience.
Remote Sensing Experience.
10+ years of program management experience.
Program Management experience working with DoD programs.
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or scientific field.
Demonstrated knowledge of contract management.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
