Duties & Responsibilities:

Teradyne , the industry leader in Semiconductor Automated Test Equipment, is in need of a innovative, dynamic, technically skilled DC Systems Engineering Coop to support our new product development program at our North Reading, MA headquarters.

Systems Engineers at Teradyne are the interface between the different technical teams at Teradyne. The ability to clearly communicate technical needs and requirements verbally and in writing is important. Understanding how to abstract designs from schematics or code to block diagrams for system interfaces, and how to dive back down from the block diagram into technical details, is vital for success in the role. 

This engineer will spend 1/3 of their time working directly with our suite of test equipment to help develop and characterize a test solution for semiconductor test. The remainder of their time will be spent on work to help define and develop projects currently in advanced development.

Position Subject to ITAR/ FOUO controls:


Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

Currently enrolled student in EE or CE program working towards a Bachelors degree.

Would also consider BS students enrolled in CS or Physics accompanied by HW and Software Course work

· Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics for DC power systems 

· Some past programming experience, VBA or python a plus 

· Good verbal and written communication skills 

· Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects preferred 

· Analog simulation tool experience, such as LTSpice or PSpice, a plus


· Experience with, or knowledge of, embedded microcontrollers and/or digital logic design a plus

Must have a basic understanding of circuits (RC networks, opamps) and how to program (largely with VBT).
