Teradyne Semiconductor Design Engineer 2 in North Reading, Massachusetts

Organization & Role

The Teradyne Hardware Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Semiconductor Engineer to focus on the development of ASIC and FPGA devices for products within the division. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site development environment. This individual will report directly to the Hardware Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture, design, implementation, verification, test of for automated test equipment

  • Work with Hardware, Software and Systems engineering to define scalable, high-performance, high-quality, extensible, and maintainable devices and IP

  • Hands-on execution of product integration and verification testing and debug

  • Define and perform prototyping and characterization experiments

  • Understanding of basic bipolar and CMOS semiconductor physics, device modeling and electromagnetic theory

  • Experience in deep sub-micron CMOS (nodes < 40 nm) highly desired

  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem solving skills

  • Solid verbal and written skills

  • Solid presentation skills

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams designing electromechanical systems

  • Commitment to excellence, efficiency, and product quality

Education

  • in electrical engineering or related field from a university or engineering institution

  • Minimum of years of practical hardware development experience
