Technical Platform Product Manager

TraceLink is seeking a full-time, experienced Product Manager to focus on expanding our cloud-based track and trace suite of applications. Product Managers are responsible for working with cross-functional teams and customers, managing products from cradle to grave, justifying new product development investments, determining and documenting new product requirements, and facilitating product rollout.   • Serve as the voice of the customer for the product

  • Create and document product requirements and use cases

  • Define product features and functions, and work closely with User Experience team on product UI design mockups

  • Present product ideas and user interface designs to customers to garner feedback

  • Conduct design reviews of use cases and user interface designs with Development, QA, Professional Services and other internal stakeholders

  • Author and prioritize user stories for product features and functions

  • Participate in scheduling, coordinating and planning product development releases with Development and QA

  • Work closely with Development and QA to resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle

  • Work closely with architects to define a next generation platform

  • Participate in bug triage and prioritization

  • Review and accept user stories upon completion of development and testing

  • Manage/coordinate the release process

  • Provide regular status updates on the Product Release efforts

  • Serve as product expert; provide secondary support to Sales and Professional Services

  • Work with Marketing to contribute to creation of marketing materials and messaging

  • Provide demos, presentations, support analyst briefings

  • Perform competitive analyses

  • Up to 20% travel required

Skills and Requirements:

  • Technical degree (engineering and/or computer science)

  • 8+ years of experience as a product manager or business analyst

  • Software company experience where SaaS and/or cloud deployment environments are used

  • Knowledge of SOAP and REST web service APIs and their application

Desirable areas:

  • Experience with enterprise software: ERP, PLM, Workflow Systems, Document Management Systems

  • Experience building or specifying platform systems such as SAP, Oracle, MatrixOne, Enovia, PegaSystems,, or SharePoint

  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms

  • Implementation or requirements definition experience with enterprise software

  • Product serialization knowledge and related technologies (EPCIS)
