Career DescriptionJob Description

Autopart International Parts information Department is seeking a qualified, self-sufficient, and thorough cross reference researcher for immediate hire. Using extensive research methods, you will perform detailed research in your assigned field, analyze the gathered data, and present your findings. You will play a vital role in extracting valuable competitor information to benefit our organization.

  • Position Responsibilities:

  • Annually review and update each required competitor’s cross for product lines we have little or no application information

  • Work with buyers to acquire crosses electronically wherever possible

  • Annually review and update required competitive cross references for active keys for lines we have current application information

  • Notify supervisor if cannot complete any update or required cross projects

  • Bring to the attention of the product line researcher any issues that arise from review of cross references that could result in an application listing issue

  • Review and approve all competitive cross reference adds, changes and deletes requested from quality assurance researcher, Branch stores, NAS/IDD or Product Management

  • Review and update required cross references for all new items coming in

  • Work with quality assurance researchers to resolve any cross reference issues

  • Work with quality assurance researchers to resolve any cross reference issues that are resulting in a confusing display for BDC

  • Work with buyers on cross referencing required for new product lines coming in

  • Work with quality assurances researchers to resolve any application issues for assigned product lines

  • Bring to the attention of the Cross Reference Research Supervisor any issues resulting from publication of cross references
