Our work depends on a Senior Program Manager joining our team to support the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) contract for the United States Postal Service (USPS). This is a remote position.

As a Senior Program Manager supporting the United States Postal Service, you will be trusted to lead all aspects of program execution of a large enterprise infrastructure engineering services contract leading a staff of 30 to 40 highly skilled technicians and responsible for supporting the customer in developing information technology engineering solutions across the enterprise in the areas of application development, operations, and infrastructure.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Lead a team of engineers providing operational engineering support to 20,000 plus application servers including virtual and physical Unix and Windows servers

  • Lead engineers in delivering solutions across the infrastructure domain including products and technologies such as VMWare, vSphere, NetApp, Ansible, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Avamar

  • Lead database engineers and scientists in delivering solutions for Oracle, MS SQL, Cassandra, Hadoop, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and DB2

  • Support development, testing implementation of engineering solutions in production and non-production environments

  • Collaborating with USPS IT leadership to meet development and operations engineering requirements as it relates to supporting enterprise server operations

  • Leads the delivery of all aspects of IT operations in a DevSecOps environment

  • Leads efforts to plan and execute organizational change, process improvements, and implementing program efficiencies through process improvements and automation initiatives

  • Responsible for meeting all operational SLAs

  • Manages and responsible for the successful completion of all contract tasks, deliverables, and assigned program requirements including technical work, financial, and business development activities

  • Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate task leads, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation

  • Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned program

  • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits with corporate leadership and customer

  • Performs business development activities at all stages, including the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals

  • Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement.

  • Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances

  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements, and other program documents

  • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested

  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards

  • Participates in special projects as required


  • BA / BS required

  • 15+ years of related experience with 5 years’ experience as a PM / Technical Lead for a large IT engineering operation / infrastructure services contract while leading a staff of over 30 personnel

  • Secure Public Trust Clearance

  • ITIL4 Certification required


  • PMI PMP certification

  • Data Center Operations Manager (DCOM) certification

  • Data Center Expert (DCE) certification

  • Data Center Infrastructure Expert (DCIE) certification

  • Experience managing a cross-functional IT engineering teams responsible for network engineering, databases, data storage, disaster recovery, and systems management

  • Experience with cloud migration strategy, cloud economics, and cloud implementation

  • Experience with managing firm unit price programs

  • Hands on engineering / architecture background

  • Relevant Agile certification

  • Experience leading a geographically dispersed team

  • Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent

  • Program management experience on federal contracts

Please Note: The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
